Ive always heard Eibach are the ones to go for. Just ordered a pro kit for my covertible.

They lower the car 35mm and they are black which is an additional bonus so if you need to claim your insurance for any reason they look like the standard springs!!

Can definitely recommend Jamex, have mine lowered -40mm on Jamex and am happy with it. Don't need to worry about the fact they aren't black since I told my insurance company I lowered my car.

Will I need to change the shocks with a Jamex 40/40 or will the standard SRI ones do the job?

My Jamex are on standard shocks at 40mm and to be honest they're not too bad. A bit bouncy but you'd get that with any stiffer/lowered springs on OEM shocks.
