    Disconnecting the standard dv

    so after viewing many of threads etc

    when i get the vxr turbo and all that next month to make her faster, im wanting to disconnect the standard dv, just wondering if anyone can point me in right direction into to showing me how to do it

    When I bought my vxr unit I too looked into blanking the oe dv off but a lot of people say do it and some say don't. I have a baileys dv26 running with the standard oe dv. There is no problems at all with mine and it can be heard.

    lol i know mine too, i suppose with more boost it'll be louder, ill leave it unless someone comes up with the answer

    Fit a one-way valve in the vacuum pipe going to the standard one if you have an after market one fitted to make it louder

    cheers lee, so i take it anywhere near to turbo then, with arrow on 1 way valve facing away from turbo or towards???

    sorry for sounding thick, i aint no mechanic lol

    Fit it in the 3" long bit of rubber hose that joins the 2 smaller plastic pipes in the area under the servo.

    Do a search as there are loads of pictures etc and info.

    get in contact with max the mole (dave) hes got a forge blank plate for sale very good iv had a look at it . if you just put bit of metal tubing in the oe to keep it from opening it will split the diaphram eventually. but with the forge one its a all in one thing if you get what i mean, so it wont split

    yes mate if you have a boost guage just run that on where the oe line went 2.
