Check if anyone local to you does boat building or repairs, you'll buy fibreglass mat, resin & hardner off them at much better prices than you ever will in Halfrauds.

Generally if you buy fibreglass paste you get 2 tubes of hardener with it, the U-pol stuff we get at work usually comes with both red and white hardeners, last stuff I bought when I ran out was from Halfords

    my recommendation would be :

    www.cfsnet.co.uk

products are cheap but P+P can be expensive if you only need small items. they also sell tools and protective clothing so an ideal place to get everything from.

    Hi mate,

In responce to your email, these are the things i bought when i did my boot build :

5kg pack General Purpose Resin (includes hardner)
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS..._Resin_82.html

    Chopped Strand Mat 450gm
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/450gm_CSM.html

Acetone Cleaner (to clean euipment covered in resin)
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS...etone_533.html

    Calibrated Mixing Cup
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS...g_Cup_482.html

Finned Roller 35mm x 12mm (Helps to remove air bubbles)
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS...llers_460.html

Moldex 2405 Valved Respirator mask (I would buy a few of these, re-use a few times and use a new one)
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/Val...tor_Masks.html

    Resin Proof Tape 50mm wide
    http://www.cfsnet.co.uk/acatalog/CFS..._Tape_472.html

Thats all i can think of for now. obviously quantity's all depend on how big your boot build will be... but its better to have to much than to not have enough.
Cheap brushes can be had at Screwfix but be carefull as the paint comes off them when mixed with acetone. you can also buy a box of lightly powdered latex gloves from halfords which are suitable but cfs also sell them but i dont know how good they are.

Anyother questions then dont hesitate to ask.
