    Hit Irmscher Splitter Already.....

    Hey all

Just got a quick question really, is there a reason the 1.8 Coupe dosnt come with the Irmscher kit I mean is it generally abit lower or abit heavier or something because Ive had the full irmy kit (Front, Sides, Back) on for less than a week and already driving through cambridge the front splitter has scrapped the ground and my car hasnt even been lowered yet :| although I really want to lower it if im having troubles now only going to be ten times worse even with a 30mm Drop at front.

Any advice or ideas or am I more or less stuck with it how it is i.e the huge stepladder gap between wheel and wheel arch...

Picture below and the gap between wheel and arch isnt exaclty small....

    Cheers

As I just went outside to do something to my car I just noticed that your splitter isn't fitted correctly. It looks like it's fitted in the nose dive position as the back of the splitter only has a tiny gap between the arch lining and triangleish bit (fitted too high) where the irmscher writing is stamped on.

This will make the front of the splitter point downwards for sure (and a bit lower and the tips of the splitter). I assume if you look at the side of the car the back of the splitter doesn't line through with the sideskirts either.

Oh crud, sorry Edd only just saw your post, that mean the body shop fitted the front splitter wrong :\ as in it points down more than it should then ? thats if you are talking to me not Carl

Few more pics of the front are here just to make sure.

I hope its been fitted how it should ...

and more than 30mm..... I am doing the back about 50mm most probs but the front I do drive over quite alot of speed bumps at work which are ok at the mo only reason i scrapped the ground the other day was i done a 3 point turn and guys drive way had rather big and sudden dip and kinda forgot had splitter on. What mm would you think I should do the front then ?
