    Cleaning stainless back box

    Someone told me that you can use alloy wheel cleaner to clean your exhaust, is this true and will it work

    it may tarnish it. just clean it with soapy water then polish it with a metal polish such as autosol

    Thanks for the info, it does say on the bottle its ok stainless but I will buy autosol just to be safe then

    if its says stainless safe then its ok to use but still use the autosol to polish up after.

    I think a certain 2.2 owning member suggests toothpaste for cleaning SS but correct me if I'm wrong!

    I've used the toothpaste route in the past, works a treat on a host of metals.
