    5 stud conversion

    hi
im wanting some vauxhall vxr wheels but my cars a 4 stud and they only come in 5 stud.
just wondering if a 5 stud conversion can be done without getting new hubs?
i know with some cars if you have the 4 stud hub you can get a spacer conversion that changes your car to a 5 stud?
anyone know about it or has done it?
    thanks

you can get adapters, but it will offset the wheels so screw handling and steering.

just convert to 5 stud and be done with it.

    hmm
its just a hell of a lot of hasstle and lots more money.
will it offset it badly as im using 10mm spacers on atm and that hasnt. its only another 5mm on each side as the converter spacers are 15mm?

its an easy enough conversion and doesnt cost that much

main reason ppl are often put off the idea is cos they need new wheels - seeing as this is ur reason for doin it anyway then its not that big a deal

fitting spacers in this instance is nothing but a bodge and a compromise to everything

do the decent thing as Mark says and fit new hubs/knuckles/brakes etc

You will also want to upgrade to some bigger discs anyway since your tiny brakes will look crap behind 18"/19" wheels
