    Lightbulb Thinking of buying a Nova

    As title really.Im thinking bout buying a cheap 1 as my next project as th G is looking good now & not really much more that i want 2 do 2 it.
    Wanna stay Vauxhall/Opel & thought a Nova would be fun,lol.
    What u all think? .

    go old school and get an old opel ascona or kadett coupe
    if i had a lock up i'd love to get a kadett coupe

    Wouldnt mind a kadett coupe,Nova's nice & cheap tho & LOADS of parts around!
    Would proberly be an on the road project tho....would be my daily use car & give the G a break (on the drive with a cover over her) .

    you would qualify for classic insurance with a kadett
    from what i've read they are quite reliable too.
    nova's are hard to come by in scotland but then a kadett isn't easy to find either

    On ebay @ the mo...No kadett coupe's atall,40 Nova's tho,lol.

    unless they are local i'd never buy a car from ebay.
    i'd prefer to view before i buy.
    if i ever get a lock up then i'd love to buy a trailer and go to europe and hunt down a kadett as they seem to be more available in germany and holland.

    Pah...I still love smaller engine conversions in the Nova....drop a Z16XE in, throttle bodies, cams, inlet and exhaust manifold...bring on the fun

    Better weight engine for the Nova if you ask me, the 2L blocks are too heavy...

    Great little motor, the Nova. I learnt to drive in one and owned one a few years ago, the only thing that killed me was not having power steering!!!
