    changing car

hey guys, am thinking of buying a new car this week yet i still have 3 months left on my policy. is there any way i can transfer my insurance to the other car and keep paying for the last 3 months? i dont have any no claims yet and this will be my first year hence why im a bit worried about it oh and its a bigger engine size, will this matter?

    cheers

Ring your insurance company mate, if you paid for the year, they may let you just carry on until premium time without paying anything, or you may have to pay some on top for the next 3 months. If you pay monthly, they will more than likely just up the monthly payment. This way you will still have your years no claims at the end, as long as you dont go to a different company for the insurance on your new car.

Shoudnt do, when i changed mine with quinn direct they just charged me something like £20 a month more, and then gave me a new premium when the time came. But some of my mates i know havent had to pay any extra at all when they have changed theres over.

Any increase in premium will completely depend on the car you're buying but changing the policy over wont be a problem and your NCD wont be effected.

Ring your Insurer and tell them that you are swapping the car. The majority of Insurers will be able to swap it over. There may be charges but only your Insurer will be able to advise you.
