No one has really done it here as most people here have astra turbos and so want to keep creature comforts. Your best bet at a guess would be to try somewhere like a corsa forum where someone has done a Z20LET conversion as they tend to bin the AC then. They should then be able to point out which belt they used once they had removed the pump etc.

I personally would be looking towards x20xev without aircon (93182264)see if that belt fits (basically the same block anyway)

Those wanting to gain maximum power from the engine like to remove it as the pulley is a drag on the engine.

yeah thats the reason why i want to remove it due to i don't use air con it just costs alot more to run with it on aswell as that you lose power due to belt turnin another pulley so eisier option remove the damn thing.i have bought a 2l 16v vectra alt belt minus aircon but i need to know how its routed thanks all

v-max in Germany do a kit that lets you remove the air-con pump..I bought one for my race car and its works..I removed the A/C pump, do the condensor and other bits too and dropped about 15 to 20kg's in weight and gained a fair bit of room in the front for the FMIC.

There are other ways to do it. Do a search on here maybe. I went this way as it worked and it was for a race car so wanted something reliable. It has held up to a number of 15 to 35 lap races and the engine spins to a 9,000rpm redline (Yes its fully rebuilt, heads, billet crank, rods, pistons etc etc etc). I also used a smaller alloy accesory pulley to slow the alternator. Anyway, it looks like this:

for me it was a weight thing primarily..Even if the clutch is disengaged, it is still a parasitic drag on the engine...minimal maybe, but it still is using HP
