    help needed

im quite new on here but ive got a problem, ive gt a coupe 1.8 that i bought a feew weeks back. i found that the clutch was biting really low and it wasnt letting me put the car in to gear, also when i had my foot on the clutch in 1st gear it was creeping forward as if it was biting but the clutch was to the floor . i took it to a garage and they put a new clutch and slave cylinder in.
to my dissapointment it hasnt fixed the problem and im still crunching in to gear and creeping forward in 1st gear. the car also now makes a springy twang noise wen i set of in 1st gear but only wen i turn the ignition off, then bak on and set off.
its realy anoing me now as ive only had the car 2 weeks and i havent really had a chance to enjoy it! any help would be apreciated

    thanks Mike

You've def got a hydraulic fault by the sounds of things. I would have said that your master cyclinder is defective. They other thing i would have surgested is that it needed bleeding out. But if they have replaced the slave cyclinder then the garage would have had to bleed it out for the cluch to work at all.

Try checking around the clutch pedal and seeing if you can see any fluid leaking out of the master cyclinder for a start.

Sorry i can't be anymore help than this.

Don't just fit parts on it - it can end up costing you a lot of money. take it to someone who knows what they are looking at and know how to test it correctly. with out offence to anyone - clearly who ever said you needed a slave cyclinder didn't know what they were talking about because they changed something that clearly there was no fault with. and it's just cost you alot for nothing! main dealers and specialist are more expensive but you don't end up buying parts you don't need.
