    polish

Can anyone help me with a polish question, how do autoglym SRP and megs deep crystal (step 2) polish compare, i understand the SRP has an abrasive action, and the megs stuff claims to `nourish` the paintwork, but do they give similar results in masking/filling light swirls and scratches? Or would i have to use megs step 1 and 2 to get the same results?

srp is a very mild abrasive with heavy fillers,

deep crystal #1 and #2 are ok but #2 is more of a glaze than a polish.

srp will mask the swirls better than any other ploish.

deep crystal is good and will mask the swirls but it takes a while and several coats.

megs stuff is ok and keep using till you run out, no point wasting it if you have it already and are getting good results.

its not as bad as gaz makes out. a good finish can be achieved using it. but i used gold class wax instead. this was before i got into detailing. pic is using deep crystal #1 and #2 and gold class wax.

Nice! Have been using `gold class`myself and found it gives a brighter finish than `nxt`, which i dont know if its my imagination but seemed to bring out more a purple/indigo hue that vauxhall pearlescent blues have.

TBH, the paint cleaner is a pain in the arse to work with for very little results. Dodo Lime Prime Lite is 100times better.

The polish: there are better things out there for the money. SRP being a prime example.

The wax: Adds next to no protection what so ever. For the amount you'd use reapplying it every few days (as would be needed to maintain protection), it'd be cheaper to buy a pot of Dodo Juice wax. Cost effective, with better results.
