Managed to sell my car on thursday for a cheap price as i was after a new car, got all my savings out of my bank (only £3000 lol) ready to go and have a look to see what was available
Friday came and i went to 2 car auctions at washington and sunderland to see if i could get a bargain there as the past couple of weeks some decent cars have been going through cheap, at the 1st auctions seen a 53 reg mk4 astra hatch, it was a 1.8 in black and i also seen a 1.8 mk5 astra in like an artic blue colour i think, was really light blue anyway with a set of pentas on.
I thought to myself that im not going to bid on the astra as i have already had a mk4 in black, even though this 1 was newer, i just didnt fancy another one even though it only went 4 £2200, so i took the gamble and waited 4 the mk5 to come through, i loved the car and started it up etc did all the checks and it was mint, unfortunately the car went 4 £3600 so was a bit out of my budget so i was very dissapointed with that.
Afterwards me and my mates, (brian and whitey for those who know them) went to the second auctions and had a look around, there was 1 mg tf that was very clean but didnt want to wait until the other 100 cars went through to see what it would get lol.
Saturday came and just sat on the internet looking through the autotrader, adtrader, pistonheads and ebay to see if i oculd find a car for myself, seen a coupe a convertible and an mg tf that where decent priced and had decent miles on, tried ringing all day and couldnt get through 2 any of them. Eventually I got through to the fella who had the mg tf, it was cat d he said but had been repaired very well. So once again me, whitey and brian went through to guisbrough top have a look at it and lets just say it wasnt in the greatest condition ever. Rust coming through from the bonnet, laquer coming off and a tiny hole in the roof. So that was that for saturday.
So today i got up early and rang around to see if there was anything available when i remembered that riverside cars in middlesbrough had a mg tf for sale for only £2995, it was reduced from £3995. I remembered looking at it the previous week and it was mint but i didnt have the funds available, rang the garage and they just sold it lol. I then rang my dad to see if he fancied a drive out to look at some garages, we looked around a few zr's and zs's but they were nothing special and then i came across a 206gti in a garage which was reasonably priced at £2000, so i had a look around it etc and i really liked it, so i went home to get an insurance quote and it was £1800 lol.
So here i am now without a car and i ahve work tomorrow, going to have to call a sick day or put a holiday in as i need my car for work.
Why does it seem that when you have a car then theres loads of good cars for sale but when you sell it theres nothing but junk.
Sorry to go on lol but its been a nightmare
