    rev prob

hey lads, I have an auto mk5, When i rev my car it peaks very high, Drops down fast, then it holds its self above 1000 for about a sec then drops very slow to below it, thats when i rev it quiete high

or when i rev it to about 1500 the revs kind stay there when i take my foot off for about a second or 2 then slowly drop to below 1000, would ECU update sort this, ..... or its it a comon thing?

Astras seem to get a sticky throttle after a few years due to lots os black deposits around the throttle botterfly - could try cleaning the trhottle. Remove air cleaner and clean with "carb cleaner" on a rag - read the full instructions on here.
