chagned sterring wheel but controls will not work anymore?

as the title i have an early astra (R reg) without the steering wheel controls.

and i swapped it with one with a set of stering wheel controls and the squib!

but they stil dont work and its still being used on a standered radio

    thanks ?

Maybe the wiring isn't in place on the car. Do they light up?

Sounds like you dont have the correct slip ring connector on your steering column. It mustn't have the extra connections for the controls.
