Key fob locking takes longer than expected

    Hi peeps,

I just recently got my astra. Mk4, X plate hatch 1.6L LS

unlocking the car it instant, but when locking it again it takes 5 times longer. My old astra of the same year didnt take as long if i remember. I wouldn't have thought it was a battery issue because then unlocking would be similar.

    Does anyone else experience this?

    thanks
    paul

When you take the keys out the ignition and open the door do you still get the annoying beep for a while? Is aftermarket headunit fitted at all?

Swap the red and yellow wires around on the headunit, it's wired up wrong

Totally forgot about this post lol the previous owner is a family member and i asked her if anything happened to the key, and she said she broke it. thats was it.

Yes Its a Kenwood system i have for my stereo and i do get the beep when i open the door, but i thought it was to alert you that you left the key in. My megane does that so.....
