Question Sparkies / Coil Pack Cover

Right, its time to change the plugs (and the coil pack cover). The plugs feel like they are well worn out on mine now. Question is, which would you go for?

    NGK Iridium
BOSCH Super 4 (if they do them - not sure yet)
    AC DELCO

Also, has anyone painted the coil pack cover on their Z16XEP before?
If so how did it go, and have you got a snap or two of it?

Personally i wouldnt waste ur money

standard plugs for your motor are the quad electrodes and £2.30 ea at Vxl

with the money saved over so called uprated plugs Id get a couple of tins of paint to sort out ur plug cover

are u painting the rest of the cam cover too? might be a good idea

thought they were only twin electrodes in most mk4's???

i know the twinport was like a prototype engine in the mk4 hence why every dam thing is much more expensive to buy. i will prob open up and see whats in there

i need a new cover first... mine died in mysterious circumstances...but they are only 6 quid apparently

would i need special paint? like heat resistant or sommet?

no im not painting the cam cover, becuase it runs really hot in the bay... plus i like the black, just want to change the coil cover (as i need a new one anyway)

XEP uses Quads as OE fit

most of other mk4 models use twins

mine gets red hot (almost literally ) but didnt stop me painting it

just standard prep procedure as with any painted plastic parts (presuming it is of course plastic)

yea! its plastic and broken at the moment and its defo had water and oil in there cos sommet has solidified on the top of the rail of the coil pack.... no damage tho

ive got hammerite... im thinking if i plastic prime it then put that ontop it might work... if not i got a can of flame red paint in the garage which might work

IM DANGEROUS (and also getting over my mental drop with insane ideas now)
