get white/clear needles, scrape off the white paint on the back of them, paint the back of them red with the missus lollipop red nail varnish and make sure all you bulbs behing the plasma are working and then the needles should be visible enought to see,

or you could do what i did and place a led at the base of each needle!

i would if i could but i cant (be arsed)
    maybe I can....clicky ......now sold !

Sorry this isn't going to help your cause, but that looks superb!!

how do you get the difference - the orange lit surround, your kmh display seems MUCH brighter, in fact, it's all much brighter i suppose, just that yours has the orange outer ring. How'd you do that?

Are these a bugger to fit at all? (I'm not even considering doing them myself, i'd have to take them to someone to fit )

AS the oh wise oddjobb has taught me, white needles are the way forward,
go to a scrappy and source a lower spec astra or corsa c and take the needles from the speedo, thats what i did, I soldered a 3mm led under each needle, WAS A HUGE RISK as i was learning how to solder at the same time, oddjob(ken) was a huge inspiration and help also...fountain of knowledge

no too bad to fit, isnt exactly a guide here but it has been discussed several times so i think what wire goes where has been mentioned, my kmh is on a seperate circuit and so it can be disconnected if not needed, i have it connected...

the orange effect is caused by me leds being too bright and lighting up my brushed chrome dial surrounds (found on all coupes i believe....ffoeg (geoff) will correct me if im wrong)

pm me for help i'll do my best, major bit of advice for anyone wanting to rush out and get these remember........original white faced clocks need the stated white fitment plasmas and vice versa with black, the speed increments on each clock is different and so if you get white fitment dials and fit them to black clocks your speedo WILL READ WRONG

Aye i've seen these come up now and then. Have always read with a bit of interest as i think they're by far the best looking dials i've seen for an Astra. The instructions are in German i believe? Seen a few people asking for translations.

I'd love to do it, but, i'm just about pushed with the mechanical side of things. If we start going electrical i'm shafted.

I guess i would have to go the unusual route of maybe asking an auto-sprak to do this kind of thing if i source in all the parts. Dunno if they'd do it, but i don't know of anyone else who would. Either way, they look bloody smart!!
