    Mk4 Alloys - Complete n00b!

    Hi Guys,

I've got a MK4, 53 plate Astra 1.6 16V and want to pop some black alloys on there. However, I'm a complete and utter newb and don't know where to start.

Is it best to go with 15" ones because I don't want to change the wheels and it effect the speedo or anything like that? Need help and advice on where to start, what to look at and how to go about changing them over?

IMO 17s are the smallest size to go with. Mk4s look truely terrible with 15s.

Any change to the speedo reading will be minimal.

If you know how to put a spare on, you know how to change wheels

Do I have to take into account wheel size or change the wheelbase or any nonsense like that?

no m8 just get a set of alloys that fit your astra, guess your on 4 stud just bolt them on simple go for 17's with a 215/40/17 or 205/40/17 thers not mush differece in size then as your tyers are allot smaller than your old ones does,nt really effect your speed o
