So finally got the [Cybox] exhaust fitted today

Being something of a pessimist, i wasn't happy when the brother (he works there as a trainee on thursdays) came home to say they couldn't fit the thing, and usually being so poor at lying, he put on a convincing display ... i was gutted.

So then the truth came out & i was chuffed.

Being in a cast, i couldn't bring it home & by the time it came back, it was dark, so i've got crappy night time pics on a K800i, as well as the vid...

£20 for the fitting & £5 for some (now, my mother said she was told bracket, my brother says gasket, so...)

It sounds louder in person than the video, but even in person, it's not LOUD (because i don't like it & had a mid silencer fitted)

Was something like £189 for the exhaust
    £15.00 for the P+P
    £20 for the mid silencer
& can thoroughly recommend Cybox as far as customer service goes

The only noted 'issue' they had when fitting, was when 1 pipe was fitting into the other (that's as much as i got told - no specifics off the brother lol), when it was clamped, there was still too much of a gap, so they had to use exhaust paste

I was spoken to about exhaust paste recently & was told it should only be used when really necessary, and avoided if possible. This correct info?

    Onto the poor night shots....

Was undecided between this & a twin pipe option. Chose this, obviously. Pretty happy with it

EDIT: Twas the g/f on the pedals btw. No idea how much she revved it.

It would be "Style F" on that page mate.

I knew i'd seen one like it though & took a trip into the local Halfords. There's one branded up as "Peco" or something like that, and it looks like exactly the same backbox. Measured it using my phone lol, and when i measured the phone against this Cybox one, it's exactly the same

fancy one of these in a twin 3.5" round, outwardly rolled lip with a straight through centre pipe, will sound awesome when the 3.0 v6 is fitted.

I have the same one on my 1.8 16v Sport.

But, mine is the straight through race pipe.
    And it's VERY LOUD !!

People turn like half a mile away to see what is coming.
But, it is such a lovely sounding exhaust.
It pops when you change down gears & the note when you rev or floor it is very meaty.
Best sounding exhaust I have heard, but on long journeys with the race pipe, you get a constant droan, a LOUD constant droan which my other half does not like.

Has made a big difference in the pick up between gears.

The tailpipe Kev has, & so do I, is called "Square Oval".

For the money, I think it is a cracking exhaust & highly recommend it.

For anyone thinking of ordering one, if you don't want it loud, you need to advise them you want the mid-silencer section, otherwise the system comes with the race pipe as standard.
    Mid-Silencer is £20 extra.

Looking good by the way Kev
