    Problems with fuses

Looking for some advice or help. i have been experiencing problems with the fuse on my 07 Astra club where the fuse has been blowing for my boot and screen washers. i have changed the fuse 3 times since xmas and even after having it serviced nothing was said about it.

when i spoke to my local vauxhall dealer i was told that this keeps blowing due to the pump for the screen washers being located near the bottom of the car and when temperatures drop this freezes. when i would then try to use them the fuse blows to save burning out the pump.

anyone confirm or deny this as it pretty hard trying to drive on motorways near blind!!!

    cheers

    sorry but they are correct

the fuse for the washer pump on the mk5 is renowned for blowing

best way round it is to ensure u have plenty screenwash concentrate in the mix so the solution wont freeze thus blowing the fuse

get on ebay and buy a bag full of 10ampers or various mini fuses and keep em handy

not the best i know but its a known problem

Vauxhall also apparently suggest if you keep having this problem to replace with a 15 amp fuse

plenty screenwash concentrate should solve this, I have not had this issue yet and I'm guessing thats because I have plenty screenwash concentrate

Definatly not something i'd recomend doing but have heard it from Dave Dempsey plus other guys on here who seem to work for vauxhall
