    Mk4 Fitted mats

    Hi guys n gals,

Just off the phone to my local Vaux part dept and the fitted mats i am looking for are £40.66. I have seen a set on ebay for £18.50 with £8.50PP but i wondered if anyone has another place to get them?

My current rubber mat rolled up on me this morning and stuck under the brake pedal, so i think its an omen hahaha

    cheers

    paul

Aye my local Halfrauds do have them in stock but they arent vaux ones. I suppose in this wet climate its maybe best to get rubbish ones, cause they'll get ruined anyway.

Think the ones from ebay are different to the dealers. They are both vauxhall items but i think the material is different. Ones are like a doormat, others are velour. I think that's where the price difference comes from.

I've got proper Vauxhall rubber mats, and rate them highly, tailored to the shape of the floor, dont slide about and have clips on the drivers side to keep them in place to avoid them sliding under the pedals.

Paid about £25 although I get trade price.

Rubber is the way to go, carpet mats are a waste IMO, they get dirty and ruined easily, need constant cleaning, and are quite expensive.

what I've done is got a set of cheap "arnold clark" carpet mats (local dealer) put them underneath and the rubbers ontop so the rubber ones dont mark your floor.

That sound like a good price to me as I spent over £80 on a set of Holden mats as I had to get them ordered from Australia.

If i was going to splash out it would probably be on the mats for some strange reason lol - i dont like rubber stuff (no jokes ) so i think carpet would be best, but you've certinly given me food for thought.

The guy on ebay had terrible feedback all stating poor delivery times so i think i'll just get the ones from either halfords or vauxhall..
