    A job for this week

A parcel turned up today that will help me finish the nightmare job of sound deadening.

I bought this to fill in the gaps where i have 'tiled' te rear quarters with dynamat and then eventually i'll double everywhere with it

It says brush, roll, or spry on with a HVLP sprayer. I bought myself a 1inch brush and a mini roller after reading some stuff online but i'm very tempted to see about an HVLP sprayer

You should be able to get a cheap HVLP gun from a local refinish supplier for around £30

You will need a compressor though

What does that stuff do? Doesn't it weigh the car down a bit?

i thought the idea on a HVLP was that it didn't use a compressor, but a turbine??

and it's like a liquid Dynamat. Does the same job, maybe not quite as well but it's lighter and thinner. And it will go on the bits that the Dynamat won't

HVLP - High Volume Low Pressure. Never used it with a turbine, but only heard bad things about them

Might be ideal for just laying that on though

HVLP technology has improved no end over the past few years... the one I used is an Apollo AP400, and with a little experimentation it is capable of giving results as good as a compressor setup

    But anyways, back on topic
