    removing the front bumper with rusted/rounded off screws ?

    as title i have just tryed to remove my front bumper to fet a new set of lights only to find some twit has rounded off the screws? (the ones at about 10 oclock) and they have gone rusty?



    shall i just srill them out and replace them as they are the same as the ones that go in the dash ?


    as i need the bumper off ASAP!

    I got my screws out carefully with mole grips

    The are machined screws and the only ones I know behind the dash are self tappers

    I filed the edges so I had two flat edges to get a good grip on with the moles!

    the dremel way works, but it's a pain in the hole!

    Get an extractor bit for a socket set - the teeth bite into the outside of the screw when turned anti-clockwise.

    Get new screws after this though. they don't cost much.

    wher can u get the new screws from? dealers? as ive got the same problem. im looking 2 reaplce 2 screws under wheel arch...1 clip under the bumper and both clips ontop of it

    i just drilled mine, took 2 minutes 2 get the entire bumper off with no damage to it.. all i lost out on was some nackerd bolts which needed replacing anyways... all probs for the cost of 50p or somthin

    Yea mate, i got a load of new screws, and fixings for the bumper on mine and it cost me like £3.00, and i had lots lol, though i managed to damage my bumper bracket.
