    Shortly really mate... Even thou vauxhall intervals are longer the AA recommends to change them around every 40k miles.

    ignoring the typo with the mileage

    40k/4yrs is the recommendation but i personally will be changing it at less than that

    93185844 = £50+VAT (timing belt kit)
    24409355 = £33+VAT (water pump)

    I have heard rumours that the water pump price has gone up to a stupid price - if so just get the belt kit and source the pump elsewhere

    all the above are trade club prices at vxl using AOC trade club discount

    expect no more than 2hours labour at an indy garage if u do go ahead with it

    Vauxhall say 40k or every 4 years so your is overdue on both counts if it hasn't been done before

    I'm having to get mine done again because of the 4 year side of things even though it's only done 28k since the last change

    Yes we do and you show them your membership card.

    I just change the belt whenever I buy a car so you know for sure its been done.

    no need to show them ur card mate (most are out of date anyway)

    just quote the trade club membership number as found in the members only forum.

    my local one doesnt actually recognise the number on his system although he acknowledges its a genuine TC number therefore gives me TC discount under another clubs number (which i will not disclose lol)

    ** For the record though - the above prices are last years prices - AND the water pump has jumped up to £45+VAT now!
