    Lowering Suspension Prices?

    Hi chaps

I wanted to have a rough estimate on what the price I should be looking for of labour costs for fitment of lowering springs as i'v just been quoted £200+vat=£235 ... and i would have thought thats pretty hefty..or is that around abouts what i'm looking at..

..are there any alternative solutions..perhaps fit them yourself with help from an experienced motorist ??

    Ouch...

My Jamex springs (springs only, no shocks) were £55 to buy then £80 to fit at a local garage. Rears are easy, jack car, take old ones out, put new ones in. Fronts you need to remove the shock to change the springs, but no more than an hours labour for the whole job for someone who knows what they're doing!

I fitted my full coilover kit in just over an hour & i aint a mechanic,so a propper mechanic with the correct tools should be able 2 do it within an hour easy!!

    £200 sounds rediculaous bud,put a post in regional forum & ask if any1 can help u 2 fit them with u 1 weekend .

    As said,backs are easy!! 15-20mins tops m8.
    • Jack car up.
    • Remove wheel.
    • Undo the single bolt at ONE end of the shock (doesnt matter which end).
    • Push down on axle & pop spring out.
    • Place new spring in.
    • Do shock back up.
    • Wheel on.
    • Jack down
    • BINGO.
Have a look in the Technical guides on here m8,theres a 'how to' on removing suspension .
