    Question Tyres?.... :D

Hey everyone, hope you all had a good new year!!
Its time to replace the front tyres on my astra 1.7CDTI SRi XP, 18in, 225/40's and apart from the current Dunlop Sport's (which i believe VX fit from new to the XP alloys) has any1 else got any other recomendations or ones to avoid??
I dont want to spend 'silly money' but i want a good quality tyre...
Im changing the rears v.soon so i dont mind running 'mixed' for a little while (unless ne1 has any horror stories or advice why not to!)

    Cheers
    MorrisMan'91!!

ive got a set of Bridgestones on the back of my H and on the front i stuck on some Dunlop SP Fast Response tyres, and i like them. When the rears get low ill put dunlops on the back too.

plus on a 195/60/15 i paid £110 fitted for the fronts which isnt too bad.

I put Avon ZZ3's on my 1.9 and they are awesome in the wet and just unbelievable in the dry and believe me, I've tested them thoroughly. They quite well priced considering the quality too.

GSD3's on the front. So far, they're really good and they've not been fully worn in yet. The 2 thick black lines at the end of the road are testament rofl.

well, my dad's had my astra for a few days and got the fronts changed for me which was nice of him, he went for the same dunlops again, but thats no complaint, except £130 each inc fitting was quite alot, so im looking at going for the Avons next time, which will hopefully be in a long time :P

Thanks for your input tho guys!!
