    Air Box's

whats the main difference in the standard 2litre air box and the 2.2 box?? i have the standard box with a k&n pannel filter, if i was to buy a 2.2box would the k&n fit into it?? i asume they are roughly the same size as they fit into the same space in the engine bay??

The 2.2 has the inlet at the front and is slightly narrower but you can 'squeeze' the 2 litre air filter into it.
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...

2.2 the exit is in a difference place so it does away with the cross over pipe and goes straight onto turbo im pretty sure the filter will fit but it is slightly different size

You might need to trim the K&N slightly to get it in but it does go, did exactly this when i did mine. I have an ITG filter in now though.

You can fit the 2.0 K&N in but there will be a gap down 2 sides and the other 2 sides will need trimming - I just bought a new 2.2 / 1.9CDTi one as you don't want to tempt fate!!

Take a look in my garage below for a pic of the 2.2 one
