    Boosting probs

    Hi all
My mates car is showing strange boost figures and was wondering whats your opinion on that...
    Car's standard!
It boosts to 0.55-0.6 bar ... no overboost, and it drops to 0,5 bar up the rev range (above 4000 starts to drop). Actuator adjusting seems to do nothing...
Any ideas ... BCS? or what?
The only way to be 100% certain that work has been done properly is to do it yourself.

    Try changing your BCS.
However did you already adjust your actuator? if so did you put it back at the right position where it was before u started?

Try also looking for a leak....

Hi guys, sorry to bother but what is BCS? I have a friend with the same problems. It goes fine until 4500-4700 rpm and after the boost comes down fast. He allready adjust the actuator, but from what i know, if you tune the Wastegate there is no way to make it as before...

Boost control solenoid mate. You will find one on the front of the turbo and one at the back of the inlet.

Iv been having this problem this week.

Today i changed my map sensor and BCS on the turbo, and all was well for the next 2 hours or so, car drove lovely again and boost was holding well .

then put foot down to test it again and now spanner light came on and had power progresively dying when boost kicks in .

    back to sqaure one .

    Thanks for the pics m8.
@dan- could be some hoses problem, try to see if the engine is holding up boost. Also, if you reset the ECU you better first try to see what the trouble code is...
