    GT3 Exhausts on ebay...

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...mZ180302978552

Anyone had any experience with these??
I dont have alot of money to play with and just want a cheap but decent replacment for my current crap system.

My cat collapsed on the original system and i had a cheap temp system fitted.

Also the CAT on mine looks to be welded on to the pipe?? am i seeing things or is this common?

    will take pics later.

    Didn't search on 'GT3' then

Loads of people here love them, Cybox are also very good too and do a centre silencer if you want one - I did and it is less restrictive than the OEM one by miles, and keeps the noise down too

it always helps if u tell us what the car is!!!

goin by ur old posts u used to have a S reg 1.6 Sport?

    Is this still correct?

If so the CAT is on the front pipe and the GT3 is catback and therefore has nowt to do with the cat

if ur cat is still damaged then may wish to look at getting that sorted first

the GT3 is quite loud so if u dont want loud then get a cybox for instance but specify that a central silencer is fitted.

Hi mate as long as you dont mind being loud really it should be ok ive just put a remus centre section (no middlebox like hat one) on with a cobra sport stainless backbox and i hated it because it was far too loud with no middlebox so i got a scorpion stainless middlebox added to it now its much much better nice sound when you floor it but you can drive it standard and its not too much noise really

as for the welding mine just had a u bolt holding it to the cat i removed that and it slid off the cat no welding mines a 2000 1.8 sxi astra

    Hope this helps cheers mark

    its a 1.8 Sport.

And if i look under the car i can see the CAT easily if that helps? lol

Also my CAT has been fixed now, got a new one, and from the look of it it looks like that have welded the CAT onto the pipe...

And i will have a look at cyboxthen, im not after a very loud system haha

The box on the centre pipe of the exhaust is a silencer, not a cat.

    Forget about the CAT

    Its in its correct location

All X series petrol engines from 98-00 on the Mk4 have the CAT positioned underneath the engine on the front pipe - after the flexi section and just before the flange where it meets the centre section so if its been fitted there its fine.

Z series models from 00 onwards have it positioned on the manifold itself.

Anyway..... if ur not after loud then you will hate the GT3

Cybox with centre silencer. Sporty but subtle and a little performance gain too
