    05 zafira breeze steering controls

    Hi, Should the audio controls on my 05 zafira A be iluminated? thinking of doing a blue led conversion, and saw some already done on ebay....but noticed mine dont ilumminate....

    I think that they only illuminate when the radio is on.
    Now drives a Vectra C 1.9 cdti SRi

    they will only work with the factory fitted stereo as a feed comes from the stereo plug

    Not if he gets an autoleads adaptor to make them work

    thanks for all this........i have used an auto leads adapter...but the illumination does not work....there were 3 plugs in the original, but only 2 went into the autoleads....the 3rd i guess was for the display...and the steering illumination. I will remove the airbag and find out trace the illumination wire and give it an alternative feed froom somewhere!! thanks for your help.

    The illumination is done through the remote out for the amp in the aerial. If you have a sony headunit this is switched off when you listen to the cd's. Pioneer leave the disconected so you have to connect them up (as are the power and accessory wires)

    I'd really look behind the radio before pulling the airbag!!

    I meant if he has an aftermarket headunit and the correct adaptor then they should work shouldn't they.

    i have a pioneer head unit...and auto leads adaptor....i also have the steering controls work via an adapter.....so should they be working then?
