I have a V reg 1.7 td astravan (gm engine) and want to do a service on it , only problem is , i cant for the life of me get the sump plug out.
Its a torx t45 size bolt and would love any suggestions , have bought numerous bits and rounded them all off, used a full 500ml tin of WD40 and still nothing . Help would be grately appreciated.

I had same problem, my dad nearly put his arm and shoulder out with brute force. It came eventually but god it was tight! You need as much leverage as possible, the more leverage you have the less force you need. Im not being a *****, but you are turning anti-clock yea? Think we tightened it up a bit lol by going clockwise first :|

I gave up hurting myself on cars years ago, I use bigger spanners now.

Mine's stuck too, the trouble is without a pit or a four post lift I can't get a 2 foot long shifter under the car.
