    Post MKIII automatic aerial woes

    Can anyone help?

The aerial got stuck in a bush as I was reversing and is now bent beyond repair.

Do I have to replace the whole unit (it's automatic) or is there an easier way? The Halfords replacement aerial seems to be manual.

Also, how do I get at it? It seems almost impossible through the panel for replacing the light bulbs.

Fed up with driving around with no radio.

You can get a replacement mast from Vauxhall

    Welcome mate

As Lee said replacement masts are avaiable. Just unscrew the top of the aerial and switch the radio on, this will send the whole aerial out. To feed to new one in just switch the radio off and try to feed the long white bit in until it catches. This can be a 2 man job as sometimes you will need to switch the radio on and off a few times
