    Steering wheel controls lights

Yes, another steering wheel control problem. I used the search function and found some useful advice but not everything i needed to know i could find, so I will start from the beginning.

The steering wheel controls dont light up but function on the Sony headunit i have fitted. To start with within a week the controls stopped working, took it back to halfords and was a faulty autoleads adapter which I have heard bad things about. This time they dont light up, they did to start with but not anymore.

Could it be yet another faulty adapter if so is there another brand I can try or is there a fuse may have blown?

    Thank you
    Kind Regards,

    Dean

Try seeing if the lights are on with the radio on. Does the date stay on the top display? Is the blue wire connected on the radio?

I'll check about the radio when i leave this morning, as for the date thats on when the headunit isnt on. But as soon as i attach it and use it the date disappears.

You can either live with it like that or swap the loose blue wire on the headunit for the blue wire that goes into the ISO connector
