    Windows 7 anyone?

I just upgraded my Dell XPS M1330 from vista to Win 7.

Upgraded prefectly and everything works fine. All hardware on laptop seems fine.
It's faster also. Actually really nice. Just like Vista except better.

I run it in BEta, As I learn how to fix any issue's before its released. Helps with my work. Makes life easier. Done the same with Vista. from 1st Beta to final Release.

Windows 7 is the next version of windows.

Upgrade from Vista, The next Operating system from Microsoft. It's only in testing at the minute.

From what I've used so far, It is faster than XP and Vista. My laptop runs much quicker and smoother.

As for Vista I like Vista. Never had a single issue with it. Have used it from it's first beta.

Guess its all about how well you can learn new things. Since it's my job to learn new things I enjoy using any new Operating system, As working with same one over and over and over again on daily bases is not much fun!

Does Win7 eat into your memory like Vista does?

I also heard the Vista doesnt like only uses memory upto 3GB, anything higher and it simply doesnt recognise it and doesnt use it.

    Have they solved this issue?

From all I read, the current Windows 7 BETA (which I have but have not yet installed) is a good improvement over Vista in respect of performance if nothing else.

I'm like Joe, getting used to a new OS well before it is common place at work is really useful for me - still, with Windows 7 being out later this year, we've still only got minimal use of Vista at work, nearly all XP still.
