    crossovers?

I bought new speakers and need to wire in crosovers just wonderd if i really need too or just wire it straight upto the existing speaker conections.

I just wondered as I noticed the wires split in two one to tweeter and one to woofer. so which wire do i connect to the crossover and wat do i do with the leftover wire.

Connect the crossover to the wiring that feeds the original woofer, then split new wires from the new crossover to the new woofer and new tweeter. Don't use the original tweeter wiring.

I'll answer here so others can see it for future reference

Yes they need to be fitted so the right frequency goes to the right speaker. There is no crosover as standard because the factory tweeter has it built in

Just take the wiring to the factory woofer to the input of your crossover then the outputs to the new woofer and then tweeter. Just tie up the old tweeter wire and don't use it

Rear speakers are the same size as the front on the coupe, whole back seat has to be removed as well as the panel. No adaptors needed and you only need coax speakers

When mounting the crossovers in the front door make sure they go between the door panel and plastic membrain
