any advise ?
don't do it
right ok, did have a slight feelin it wasnt right but thought id ask..
guessin the springs wud be just 2 small to fit right?
There' possibly that, and the fact that you'll be asking the shocks to oscillate around a point they weren't designed to work around.
Plus you'll be asking them to work faster over a shorter distance, to absorb increased forces. In short, you'll kill thme much quicker than you would with standard springs
Best bet is to get shocks that are matched to the spring rate/length, you'll be OK then
ok will do, thanks for that
its just a recently bought my astra without an mot.. its lower than 40mm down, but stuck my head underneath for a look and its standard springs that have been chopped.. so they are comin off for sure.. just for the mot puposes, would they fail it if i leave them on? (for being standards cut down) (just until mot is out the way when i have enough cash for a good shock kit?)
Not 100% sure on that mate, so I'll bow out
More than likely, not sure how they'd cut them without making them dangerous.
Its reccomended that any lower than-40mm & u should upgrade your shocks.
