will my astra pass mot fitted with aftermarket hids???

having spent £300.00 on having hids installed i am not sure they will pass an mot test as cars that have them factory fitted have headlamp wash and self leveling headlamps.

depends on the tester TBH. 95% will ignore the fact it doesn't have washers etc. As long as beam pattern is ok, they should be fine.
But it all comes down to the tester on the day, no one can give a definitive yes or no answer. What MK of Astra do you have, and standard or aftermarket headlights?

Also if they do fail, leave the ballests etc in place, refit standard bulbs, go for a retest (should be free), then refit the HID's back in

would only be 15mins worth of work to fit them so be a pretty hefty labour charge
