Yes its that old chesnut again, diesel or petrol.
My dilemma is is whether or not to get a 1.8 petrol or a 1.9CDTI
I wont be doing a huge amount of mileage (less than 10k a year) but i want something that can pull and also needs to be tuneable i.e. ability to add a few more horses.
The way i see it -
Petrol (1.8 16v) - Easy to do engine mods, not necesarily great gains in bhp. Not great MPG
Diesel (1.9 CDTI) - Already has quite a high bhp and alot of torque, Better MPG.
But i'm not sure what sort of engine mods i can do to the diesel , I've heard about the box (???) how much does this cost and what sort of engine gains to you get from it?
And what other mods can i do to the diesel engine?
What would you get when considering the above?
The car would be a Mk5 SRi xp
