firstly sorry abbout pics was my point n shoot camera rather than dslr and they have been shrunk in quality
And i must be bloody mad, -1 outside and im wqashing a car...ah well all good fun i suppose.
The water didnt seem to freeze straight away so worked fast with the wash then even faster to dry it..must have been comical to watch.
Any how a few piccies (the house isnt mine i use their drive)
Started out bloody filthy been about a month for a wash which isnt like me at all and i do about 1200+ miles in that time
bit of a mucky bum
there is chrome under their somewhere
So to start with i striped each wheel off one at a time to clean the arches and the wheels properly(ish), they started out a bit grotty and came up fairly well with the new expensive kit i bought,
blue black calipers dont really do it for me
so i set too gave them a blast with the ole jet wash then set too with the expensive brush
came up clean
Blue came up better byut really need toing again and laquerig :S
onto the wheels using chem guys wheel and rim cleaner, again jet washed the main crap off 1st then worked it into a soapy sud and rinsed.
after doing this i found i needed to clay the rims due to some crap still being on their so using chem guys synthetic quick detailer and light clay bar i set to it.
i did all 4 wheels and arches but really need a heavier clay bar for the wheels as iv left the crap on too long.
I then gave them all a coat of chem guys wheel guard (no pics my hands were frozen at this point)
well now onto the main mucky bit, i dont own a karcher so there no snow foam action from me i own a helfrauds own but it does the job nicely.
so rinsed the whole car down and she immediately started to look better
previous waxing still going well
i then set too giving her some hot hand action...please note the rubber gloves for added winter protection FOR ME
i had to use auto glym shampoo as i ran out of chem guys last time n havnt got round to ordering any more, using my fandabby dozey new for crimbo "lambswool" mit from chem guys (i thinmk they packed the wrong one but im not one to complain) i cracked on
not many more picas here as im sure your all aware how it looks washing a car...that and the faster i moved the warmer i was so no time for stopping haha
I then dried her off using a chem guys towekl (left) and a megs rip off towel (right).
at this point the car had in places started to freeze so had to be carefull
just to top up the protection a bit i applied 2 thin coats of petes 53
i love this easy to work with and does give a good shine imo, there was no time for sealant due to light issues and the cold but she will get a good
seeing to when its warmer (if i still own her)
i gave the engine a quick going over aswell due to an oil cap issue (it went missing and covered everything in oil so i set to with anothe new expensive brush and some new chem guys degreaser
during (note expensive brush action)
after - not great but will do
that was me pretty much done so just a few pics of the final article
and the reflection shot of yours truly
and a quick piccy of my cleaning products.....chem guys obsession aanybody
