I don't know if it's a 'problem' or something normal, but i'll ask anyway.
some times when i've been pulling away, such as today ....
in 5th gear, somewhere around 45mph
i go to overtake the car in front, as we're in a 60mph zone.
As i hit the accelerator, i was sort of held back. hmm, i don't know how best to describe it ......
imagine you're on a rope, tied at one end & someone has hold of the other end. You go to run away from them, but every now & then, they'll give a tug on the rope which slows you from accelerating.
Hows that for a description lol
That's how it felt in the car. Didn't do it with the last car (a diesel Escort) but i remember doing it with the one before that (petrol Escort). I've the Z18XE Astra now.
Anyway, to save me posting this Q elsewhere, i'll make the most of this thread....
Some folk claim no gains from 'premium fuel'.
Looking in the Astra manual this morn, it says optimum performance from 95 RON.
If all this premium stuff is above 95 RON, then will the car run at 'optimum performance' or not? Just wondered.
