After some jerking and throttle response issues on my X18XE1, I decided to blank off my EGR valve. I did it with a single layer of coke can. I took it for a spin it works like a charm, but after some further reading I have a few questions;
1. Is the coke can sufficient to sustain the temperature of the gasses it is stopping? (Steel will rust, won't it?)I've read somewhere that someone cut a piece from some Gasket material (not the cork one).
2. I only made holes for the two bolts (I see the plate for sale on Ebay do not have any other holes), what happens to the valve on the EGR, will it not punch a hole in the 'can' (I don't want pieces of metal in my block)
