    Adapter plates for speakers in front doors?

    Do i need them? if so whats the max size speaker they will go upto?

    If you have the tools/skills/time etc to make them, then yes as fred says, MDF rings are ideal. I bought some of eBay for a fiver and they were utter sh!te so I just stuck to the Autoleads plastic adapters that I already had.

    These be them:

    SAK-2902 Vauxhall Astra 130mm 165mm Speaker Adaptor Kit

    I'm just trying to work out a way to toughen them up a bit so make them feel and sound more 'solid'. Tbh they should be OK as they are as my components aren't getting any bass now I've installed my sub
