    economy of a z20let??

what mpg should i realistically expect from a z20let astra.

my driving consists of a 50 mile round trip to work and back (mostly 60mph)

and then the usual driving around town etc

    thanks tom

Should see anywhere between 25-30 mpg but nearer 30 mpg.

hello mate, it all depends, on how good your car is running, i,e service, it every 5000 miles, i,e oil, oil fillter, air fillter plug's, put red x or some petrol treatment in every, 2-3000 mile's like me, and iv had my car for 8 month's and have never got more than 250/260 on a full tank, that's a mix of moto, street, as i use it for work, which is a work's out at a even £45 a week in petrol, but i have a havey left foot , but dont think it's much better than that, if you realy take your time, which is not the reason i bought a gsi for, you might get a little more, and that's a standerd map, pre,cat cat, back hope that was some help, paul

My car must be very good then. On 60/70 mph runs I will get 400+ to a tank. ie birmingham to scotland and back with no fuel stops. Town driving its about 27mpg
