Cool My new Audio set up

Well after listening to BOSE struggle with most music I decided to upgrade the whole set up.

I now had the choice of what to do, It started with a new Head Unit and that came in the form of a
Kenwood 8220 with all the whistles and bells blue tooth and proper NAV a real bonus when you have no
    real sense of direction.

I visited Huets in Brighton as they were highly recommended by quite a few people who I trust with this
sort of decision. I spoke to the main partner Pete who recommended their up and coming open night to
listen to a few different manufactures with all their top end equipment.

I was sold on the JL Audio the sound was outstanding from just a set of component speakers and a sub. so I went with
C5 speakers and a HD600/4 amp, Pete was good enough to lend me a little 8"sub in a ported box, the sound fills the car
perfectly and that's what I will be going with two of them one behind each seat on those dummy speaker grills

I came up with a plan and ran it past Pete who tweeked it a little. So last friday I visited Huets with a load
of dosh and the dream of real bass and a decent sound. There was only so much they can achieve in a day
so we concentrated the front end and left the sub side of things alone till the next visit.

So here are the pictures which will say it all, factory look absolutely perfect in everything they did cannot fault
the workmanship at all, I have had some dodgy installs in the past which cost alot more than this and came nowhere near.

So off with the door panel

    Out with those speakers

On went the Sound deadening Dynamat two packs per door

    Rebuild the door

Completely rewire the door for some puddle lights and new speaker cable

Here you see the new speaker pods made from MDF rather than plastic

The new tweeters the only sign it's not factory another set is going to be added in the center as well

And the best part all run from this diddly little amp

Trust me anyone who hears it will never go for BOSE again and as for Huets TOP class installers well worth the money
and NO I will not go into prices

looking good Rob. Nice to see wiring done neatly and Dynamat done properly. Little suprise really with it being Huets and having seen there work on Mat's car and a few others.

Two of those amps (600/4 and 750/1) will be appearing in my car in the new year although I am not sold on the C series speakers(or should I say they do not suit my ears but I happly recommend them in a shortlist).

I know others have asked you about price's and I know what those beasties cost and I assume Huets did you a deal of sorts, but to be honest you have a top end install there so all money well spent in my eyes. I take it you went for the 8W7 in the install?

I hope I had and influence in you choosing the Kenwood and a very good choice I might add. You need more pictures.....
