As above really can people who have done this post some pics of how the arches look and how it meets the rear bumper ok. i was thinking either 15mm or 20mm ones atm. i dont want pics of the car miles away as it never really shows what i would like to see.

Hit and miss. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. The metal is heated up usually so paint in theory should be ok. But be preparred to pay for a bodyshop bill incase as most companies who roll arches won't guarantee the paint won't crack.

Check out youtube for DIY arch rolling, clever but daring idea

you don't need to roll all the arch, just the top part where it's most likely to hit the tyre. your wheels only go up and down on a fixed beam so theres no point rolling the lot

Just use a scaffold pole just place it between your wheel arch and the tyre on an angle then get someone to drive the car forward and backword verry slowly

Don't do that at all unless you're a complete fool and don't care about your car!!

That's the most half assed way of going about it and i've seen so many botch jobs which is why i was so wary when i got mine done. I asked loads of questions and spoke to lots of people before i took the plunge.
