As said, 3 years. The wahers, are you still hearing the pump working???? and have you got sufficient washer fluid:water ratio for the cold this time of year as it could have frozen in the pipes.

The boot, are you still hearing a click?? If not then it's the boot release solenoid, this is quite a common fault with the mk5's.

Both should really be covered under warrenty, unless your washer fluid is frozen, then you'll have to wait for it to thaw out

ythe warranty on vauxhall vehicles is 60,000 miles or three years which ever comes firts how ever trim which includes seat covers is only coverd for 1 year at the moment...as previously stated boot solenoid may have failed if thats the case it should be covered as for washers if pump has failed uyes it will be if pump is contaminated or blocked no it wont be

Depends on what has caused the problem, however I can't see how either problem could be caused by abuse or wear and tear so I'd say they would be covered.

Fuse #7 IIRC its a 10amp fuse. Open the fuse box in the engine bay (to the right of the battery), theres 2 fuses sit together roughly midway in the box its the left fuse nearest the battery. Just replace it.
However as your in Livingston, if you are not sure of which fuse to replace etc. then pop in to Woods Garage (West Calder) and Ill get it replaced for you.

Unlike older cars that let the washer motor sit and run when the bottle is frozen the newer cars pop the fuse to stop the motor wearing out, unfortunately it does both the washers and the tailgate. Top tip......put some screenwash in to prevent it freezing

And warranty is 3years 60kmiles (subject to maintaining the service scheduele), details are in the rear of your service book of what is and is not covered.
