    Spark plugs...

Bought some BKR6EK to replace the existing BKR5EK as I was told the 5 was too hot + I was experiencing a slight misfire on idle and was told this may cure it. Well changed them over today today and in my (limited) experience with cars these plugs dont look as though they had been running to hot. Cars on standard MAP atm but planning on going stage one at some point in the near future.

Seems to have helped the misfire but not eliminated it completely

Let me know what you think, any input appreciated!

Old ones look like they're ok ... BKR6EIX you should buy. The best for the engine IMO

I didn't want to spend the extra for an "Iridium" plug I dont believe in all the marketing BS myself (Each to there own and all)

Will probably end up ripping apart the loom to bridge the earth wire I guess, something I cannea be arsed to do lol.

The misfire on idle is the faulty earth wires under the power pipe, dont waste any more money on plugs just stick to the GM ones if you are not modding the engine, stage 1 will require irridiums to improve the drive also. but repair the earth and it won't miss a beat again.

Occasional misfire on idle in normal for every turbo car. Had it on my old cali C20LET... tryed everything to get rid of it ... didn't work. Have it on my Z20LET... GM plugs, iridium plugs ... doesn't matter. Earth crimp is done ... didn't change a thing.

Thanks for the advice John, turbomaniak

Its really not that bad just like a hiccup every 5-10 seconds or so, but because i'm a picky bstard I wanted rid of it lol

If theres nothing I can do about it then I'll just leave it!

When my car was standard, bloody hell long time ago now... I used the BKR6EIX-11 with the 1.1mm gap. I found the car run much smoother due to the larger spark.
