    Avon? Falken? Kumhos?

i am buying some wheels and need some help with tyres? i have had Good years, conti's, dunlops, pilots in the past and not wanting to pay the prices for a tyre i wont use to full extent! i want something thats ok wet or dry and will last some miles. here is the selection i have to choose from!

    1. avon zz3 £695 with my alloys
    2. falken £690 as above
    3. kumho £635 as above
    4. nangkangs £640 as above (prob out of selection as not a good tyre at all! so i read)

    cheers

i chose Falken 452's over the lower rated falkens only because i liked the tread pattern and when i read some reviews they seemed a good value and performance combination, they seem to be a good tyre so far and at a good price. In terms of mileage ive heard they should get 10-12K out of them. If youre got any thing sporter than my 2.0 SRi i think your handling may be compromised but only what ive read in reviews. I would buy Falkens again. Hope this helps

out of those listed id go for the zz3 - i found the FK452 or whatever they were to be crap

personally though theres only 1 brand i will be using on UK roads for the foreseeable future and thats Uniroyal Rainsport 2's (I pay £75 ea for 17s)

Whats the price for bare rims only?

What size we talking? Im assuming u probs mean 18s

I used 3 sets of Kumho's now, and they work well for me. Going to try the Falken's soon to see what they are like.

Not sure about all size's, but in 18's the Falkens are the cheaper tyre between that and Kumho, so don't know why they are £55 more in the package

i am going for the 18" bk999 alloys, price with just wheel is £399.

i have read falkens are ok, and the kumhos. i just worry avons too soft.
falken pakage is local to me and they said they will fit my wheels, vaux center caps, bolts and locking bolts.
avons and kumhos are mail order, tyres fitted, vaux caps and bolts, lockers.

dont like the idea of trying to jack my car up in this cold weather! lol

i found avons a nice compound - good dry grip (ok wet) and good lifetime

they aint in the league of super sticky short lifespan tyres so i wouldnt worry about them being soft

if u dont want soft tyres then get some ditchfinders (Nankangs....) but with ur power and car i wouldnt lol
