Astra G Z20LET Passenger side drive shaf needed!!

My inner CV joint's had it, i'm fairly ok with my hands and have access to a fairly well equipped garage so fittin a replacement wouldn't be a problem, anyone know where i can get the part from, the best i can seem to get at the moment is a collection, fix & return which means my cars off the road for a week.

Also, why is this part so hard to come by?

heres something to scare you away from vauxhall for ever

mk4 SRiT & GSi have their own type driveshaft and cv joints

my local dealer tells me I can no longer order just a CV joint [not rubber boot] which used to retail at £245 + vat, and that I have to purchase a full driveshaft which comes complete with inner and outer cv joints and boots and associated clips retailing at £430 + vat and thats just for the passenger side

I have tried all my local motorfactors and none of them have the correct cv joint, the cv joints they supply either fit the hub and not the shaft or fit the shaft and not the hub

if any one can help me, please post in here or send me a pm

the prices quoted above do not include labour

Yeah that sounds right mate, they aint cheap.

Seriously tho if its just started to crack or knocking slighty cos its split i would definatley change the gaitor.
It will help slighty or fix the problem for the sake of 30 quid!!
