    Sat Nav console

I wanted to get built in sat nav in my mk4 astra. Ive seen the centre dash for sale in the classifieds and there a 'how to' explaining what screen to get and how to fit it. Very useful . But not sure on how it works, prob a bit of a silly questions but how do you get sat nav onto the screen. Do i need to buy a gps reciever, or what?
Would appreciate any useful info from anyones thats knows or has done this b4.

    Thanks in advanced

Think some have used a TomTom and actually put that into the dash screen position, most use an incar pc with satnav software hooked up to a GPS receiver or mobile I think???

Mount a satnav in there, rather than a screen, using a screen and a seperate navi will raise alot of problems, for example, most dont have vid out, secondly, operating it would be a pain as you'd need to touch the nav not the screen in centre console.

See my sig if you need help.
